We are dedicated to supporting parents through all areas of their family’s changing nutritional and food needs.

I'm Theresa

I am a degree Registered Nutritionist and mummy to two little people – Jack and Francesca.

I studied nutrition (BA Hons and MSc) for four years at university after which I held various roles within the area of nutrition. I worked as an Assistant Nutritionist for the supermarket chain ASDA, I worked as a Marketing Manager for the company Pret a Manger, I worked as part of the National Support Teams at the Department of Health and I then spent 4 years at the charity Mencap where I set up a healthy eating programme for people with a learning disability.

Let us make your mealtimes all about eating well, sharing, laughter, fun and love.

At Your Family Nutritionist, we aim to ensure that whether you are weaning your baby, or you are struggling with a fussy eater, that we can give you the tools and support to make these times fun, healthy and safe.

We want you to know that if you come to Your Family Nutritionist, that the advice you get is factual and evidence based and we want you to understand that you will be supported by us for as long as you need.

I believe whole-heartedly that it is never too early to teach our little ones about healthy eating and that mealtimes should be all about sharing, laughter, fun and love. I am happiest surrounded by people I loves, sharing great food together and of course, having the odd glass of wine (0r 3!)

When I started the weaning process with Jack, over 11 years ago, I found all the information about the introduction to solid foods very confusing and conflicting! And, as a Nutritionist, I still didn’t really know what I was doing! So, if I was struggling and had 2 nutrition degrees, what about other parents who didn’t have a nutrition background – how were they finding the weaning process?

And so, 10 years ago, I started running weaning workshops for parents, to give them the space to come and get the facts about weaning and to provide them with the correct knowledge and tools to make weaning healthy, safe and fun!

Now, Your Family Nutritionist has grown and gone from strength to strength and 10 years on, I still love my job just as much as I did back when it all started!

I love to also run fussy eaters’ workshops for parents who might be struggling with their little ones at meal times and giving them the ability to make meal-times stress-free is something I strive to do – the success stories after each workshop makes me smile from ear to ear!

Over the last few years, I have been working a lot with nursery schools, and helping them with ensuring that their menu’s are as balanced and healthy as can be! I work with staff on how they can meet government guidelines for mealtimes and ensure that the children that they support are receiving healthy breakfast, snacks, lunch and teas!
